From Navin:

One look at Kanpur and it reminds you of those narrow streets pan stained streets buzzling with activity, and congested as ever, the tinkle of cycle rickshaw bells. Popularly known as `Kanhpur' and spelt as Cawnpore during the British regime, the city is associated with the Indian Mutiny. Kanpur is also home to a number of stalwarts like Shyamlal Gupta `Parshad', composer of the famous patriotic ditty `Vijayee Vishwa Tiranga Pyara' and Balkrishna Sharma
